Technical Lead, Pixel Experience Innovation

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development with programming and debugging (e.g., Java, Kotlin etc.).
  
• Experience with Android software design and implementation.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in mobile software engineering development and domain knowledge of Android.
  
• Ability to ramp up and learn quickly in a technically complex domain.
  
• Ability to work with effectively with cross-function area leaders.
  
• Ability to lead and drive projects that utilize communication and collaboration skills.

We are building innovative and differentiating features in Pixel Software with technologies in mobile. We work with teams across multiple regions (e.g., USA and APAC) on software development, product integration, and more.

As a Technical Lead, you’ll be responsible to design the product and establish milestones, collaborate with various partner teams, and drive execution with cross-functional efforts with Product Management and UX.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the worlds most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s software and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovative software engineering efforts, architect the technical solutions that build the roadmap to collaborate with key partners including Android and Research teams.
  
• Drive discussions with cross-functional teams including Product Management and UX.
  
• Drive scalable and sustainable design and development that solve strategic business objectives.
  
• Be a good owner of code, process, and product, uphold engineering best practices and ensure product excellence, technical excellence, and system performance.
  
• Lead the team to push toward with our strategic goals.
